At the invitation of CITEVE, Gil Sousa represented ESI Robotics at the Modtissimo fair! As part of the iTechStyle Talks round table, held as part of the TEXP@CT project, the participants discussed the opportunities of Robotics in the Textile and Clothing Sector.
Gil Sousa, co-founder of ESI Robotics, together with Nélson Rodrigues from CITEVE and Ricardo Carranca from MIND, debated, under the moderation of João Oliveir from CITEVE, the opportunities for implementing this technology in the textile and clothing industry, its advantages and the challenges to be overcome.

ESI Robotics is part of the PRR Texp@ct - Innovation Pact for the Digitalization of Textiles and Clothing, from which it will receive funding of 501.6 thousand euros for the development of two robotic cells that aim to automate processes in the textile and clothing sector.
The TEXTP@CT project has a total value of 46 million euros and its main objectives are to increase the digital maturity of the Portuguese Textile Cluster, focusing on the sector's challenges and opportunities, and to reduce the excessive dependence of this industry, particularly clothing, on human intervention. This RRP is all the more relevant at a time when the STV is facing a shortage of skilled labor.
