Robotic Cell Automatic handling of fabrics and meshes

Depending on the type of test to be carried out, a collaborative robot and an industrial robot can be used within the cell. Both are equipped with a tool change system, allowing the use of different grippers. Inside the cell, there is also a table for positioning the fabrics and knits to be handled and two sewing areas.

ESI Robotics and CITEVE TEXP@CT Mobilizing Agenda

CITEVE's main motivation in setting up this laboratory is to respond to a mobilizing agenda, TEXP@CT, which aims to develop digital solutions to support Industry 4.0.

This agenda has a set of solutions, which will address various areas, including robotics. The main objective is to make companies more competitive by creating solutions that combine human operators, industrial automation and robotics.

This project was developed as part of Work Package 1 - Robotization and Automation: PPS#1 - Collaborative Robotic Solution for Garment Manufacturing and PPS#5 - Picking and Placing Cut Pieces.
